September – 2017
17th September 2017
HOME MISSION SUNDAY: On Home Mission Sunday, 17 September, our Bishops invite us to pray for and support the work of evangelisation close to home. There are around four million baptised people in our countries who never or rarely attend church. This annual collection helps to fund a number of national projects, including developing resources to support reaching out to non-church-going Catholics.

THE ST BEDE’S and ST EDMUND’S TODDLER GROUP is now back up and running on Mondays. Everyone with children between the ages of 0 and 5 years is very welcome (parents/grandparents/childminders etc.). The cost is £1
or £1.50 for more than one child. This includes drinks and snacks for adults and children. The group runs from 1.30pm until 3.00pm every Monday in term time in ST Bede’s parish hall. We are also looking for new volunteers to help with the group, if you are interested please pop along to see us. We look forward to seeing some of you there!
WANTED: Guitars! At St. Bede’s School we are running a Groovy Guitar Group as an after-school club for children to learn to play the guitar. It is so popular that we are looking for more instruments to keep at school and loan out to the children. Not all children are able to buy their own instrument. If you have a guitar or a guitar bag/case at home that is no longer used, please give it to Father Jim, so that we can allow more children to access the club. Half or threequarters size guitars would be particularly useful.
