HOLY ROSARY DURING MONTH OF MAY: May is the month of Our Lady. With her incredible “Yes”, she brought us our Redemption through Jesus Christ. She is the First Disciple and the embodiment of Holy Mother Church. As such, she can intercede for us and our country cries out for this. We will recite the Rosary at 1.00pm in “The Lady Chapel” at St Bede’s during weekdays in May. Please come if you can.

ROSARY ON THE COAST: Recently the faithful of Poland and Ireland have responded to what they sense as a movement of the Holy Spirit to gather around the coasts of their nations and pray to Jesus, the Divine Mercy, for a renewal of faith and respect for human life through the powerful intercession of Our Lady of the Rosary. Having witnessed this, a number of the lay faithful in the British Isles – England, Scotland, Wales and their isles- have felt the same inspiration and urge to respond. A National day has been organized for Sunday 29 April 2018 at

3.00pm, the Fifth Sunday of Easter. Council 60 KSC are organising a venue at Port Carlisle on Sunday 29th April. It will commence with prayers at 2.30pm and the Rosary at 3pm. Parishioners are invited to join us. For more information and to register go to: https://www.rosaryonthecoast.co.uk

THE CATENIANS invite you to join them on a Pilgrimage to Carfin Grotto National Marian Shrine for Scotland on Saturday 28th April 2018. Coach departs from Our Lady & St Joseph’s Church, Warwick Square at 9.30am, re-turning at approximately 5.30pm. Cost is £10 per person – children under 15 years travel free of charge. REQUIEM MASS: A WORD OF ADVICE: If you wish to have a Requiem Mass (which is the best way for the conclusion of ones life) celebrated for your funeral it is important to let relatives know this, preferably in your will. Funeral arrangements are often made by well meaning relatives who are un- aware of this side of Catholic practice.
